The Complete Female Cop

Heather Glogolich

The Complete Female Cop

The field of Law Enforcement is ever changing and so are the dynamics needed to support a well-rounded agency. Navigating a career in law enforcement is never easy. The additional issues that present themselves to women in law enforcement are as complex and diverse as the women who serve in these roles. This course will discuss gender-specific issues in policing including pregnancy, maternity leave, work-life balance, personal and professional relationship development, proactive policing tactics, victim-based policing, servant leadership, mindset, and self-growth. We can only control so much but all too often we give up control on how we approach situations and how we react to outside influences because of what we believe others’ perceptions are. The collateral damage results in the sacrifice of our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Regardless of your gender, rank, assignment, or level of experience, this course will provide you with the necessary tools in order to level up and excel at this profession as a police officer.

During the course of her career, she has been assigned to a multitude of diverse assignments including patrol, school resource officer, traffic safety officer, and has performed the role of field training officer. Additionally, she currently is one of the Vice Presidents for New Jersey Women in Law Enforcement (NJWLE).

Lt. Empowering

August 16, 2023

I thought the videos, photos, and visuals in the presentation cued perfectly with the topics. It was lighthearted, serious, and important. All the topics I was hoping would be covered were. And I was particularly grateful to see the double standards of men vs. women in LE highlighted in both personal experience and in videos of others’ experiences. Overall, this was a wonderful course and it’s been needed for a long time coming. [Competitor] offered a class with a similar title and the female officer teaching it made a lot of remarks I found disappointing. Essentially, she advocated for assimilation into a male-driven law enforcement world, particularly when it came to promotional processes. For example, she offered tips like “don’t wear too much perfume” and “make sure you don’t wear a black bra under a white shirt for an interview.” It was deflating. Heather, on the other hand, was empowering. She shared her struggles and success and she is inspiring. Thank you, Street Cop Traning, for taking a chance and promoting a course this important. It is forward thinking and progressive in the best of ways.

Refreshing and raw

August 16, 2023

Heather is refreshing. She is real. She is raw. She is honest. She is a woman who takes what life gives, both positive and negative, and comes out on the other side even better than before. I would take another one of her courses anytime.

Extremely compassionate

August 16, 2023

Lt. Glogolich was extremely compassionate and real. She gets the audience’s attention and motivates us to be a better police officers and better people. This was a great class and I think it’s necessary as female officers to have someone to speak about the issues we may encounter.

Life altering

August 16, 2023

The best class I have ever been to, not only perspective changing, but life altering. Heather is incredible!

A great role model for all women in LE

August 16, 2023

She was relatable and personable with everyone in the class. She wasn’t just the instructor that comes in, speaks, and leaves. She wanted to personally meet everyone and hear from everyone. She is definitely a great role model for all women in law enforcement. I don’t think there’s any areas of improvement that she needs. She was amazing!

Beneficial to all female cops

August 16, 2023

Heather did a great job explaining the challenges females face in law enforcement and how to help overcome those challenges. Heather took the time to provide her experience and gave real-life scenarios of what it is like to be a female cop. I wish this class was offered all of the time in [state] for female cops, as a female that comes from an agency with multiple females who do not get along I think this class could be very beneficial to all female cops.

Refreshing!!

Heather’s manner of teaching is so wonderful and refreshing!! She’s patient and supportive, but really knows how to motivate her students. She’s great at building confidence and keeping presentations fun and engaging.

Would see her 10,000 more times!

August 16, 2023

VERY VERY personable. Would come see her 100000 more times! Wish she had more classes!!!!

Realness

August 16, 2023

Heather’s realness, knowledge, and vulnerability was exceptional and made the class one of the best I’ve ever attended.

Exemplary Officer

August 16, 2023

Glogolich is engaging and articulate. She connected with everyone in the room and is an exemplary officer and mother and provided many examples of this. She exposed her hardships and vulnerabilities to us and I believe this was in the hope that we learned from her experiences so as to not find ourselves in those same circumstances. And if we did find ourselves in her shoes that it is possible to pull ourselves out of it and still succeed.
