Michael Brazil began his law enforcement career in 2005 and is currently serving as a Patrol Supervisor for the City of Crown Point. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in the Military Police Corps and was deployed for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Brazil recently graduated from the Valparaiso University School of Law in 2019 with a Juris Doctor. Since then, he has been admitted to practice law in both the State of Indiana and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. He excels at legal research, and he is often sought out by fellow officers to locate case law pertinent to their situation. Mike strongly believes that every officer should have a working knowledge of case law because it is the foundation of being a proactive cop.
Tommy Brooks began his career in law enforcement after his honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps (non-combat) in 1998. He started as a Transit cop and then became a member of the Boston Police Department. After working primarily in plain clothes units, Brooks joined the Boston Gang Unit as a detective and later, as a Sergeant. While in the gang unit, he worked making gang cases via informants, undercover work, search warrants, and other investigative means. He has also maintained a working role as an Academy Instructor for many academies throughout Massachusetts.
During his career, he has had the opportunity to work with the best cops in the nation, and he has received the George L Hanna Award for Bravery from the Governor of Massachusetts, two Medals of Honor, and a Medal of Valor, and an Award of Merit from the Governor. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant in the Boston Police Department.
Rich Bruno is currently a full-time police officer in the State of New Jersey with 14 years of experience. Rich is a certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor and a certified Police Assault Rifle Instructor. He is the senior Firearms Instructor for his law enforcement agency, as well as a certified instructor for police assault rifle, pistol red dot, active shooter, defensive tactics, taser, OC, handcuffing, Monadnock expandable baton, and a certified Smith & Wesson Armorer and Colt M16/M4 Armorer.
Rich has been a member of a Regional SWAT Team where he previously served the primary assault team, Firearms Instructor, CQB Instructor, and former Perimeter Team Leader. He has conducted many successful real-world operations during his time on the SWAT Team and has graduated multiple commercial tactical, handgun, and carbine training courses conducted by industry experts.
Lt. Erik Baum began his career at the Bergen County New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office and retired after 25+ years of service as the Lieutenant in charge of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Coordinator for Bergen Counties CART (Child Abduction Response Team).
Baum served on several investigative units during his career including the Narcotics Task Force, the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit, Fugitive Squad, the Special Victims Unit, and others. Baum is also a certified polygraph examiner having attended the Texas Department of Law and Public Safety Law Enforcement Polygraph School and the Federal Bureau of Investigations Advanced Polygraph Training Class. As a polygraph examiner, he has conducted several hundred criminal issue polygraph examinations. Additionally, he has been certified as a police instructor in the State of New Jersey by the New Jersey Police Training Commission. Baum continues to be the primary instructor for interviews and interrogation tactics.
Dennis Benigno is the founder and CEO of Street Cop Training and began formal police instruction in 2012. His law enforcement career began in 2001 at 19 years of age as an NJ Corrections Officer. In 2004, Benigno became a police officer with the US Park Police Dept. in Washington, DC, and in 2005 moved over to the position of a police officer in one of NJ’s largest municipalities. He has received multiple awards including but not limited to Lifesaving, Meritorious Service, Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Public Service, Several Letters of Recognition, Leadership awards, and Certificates of Appreciation from several law enforcement organizations. As a police officer, Benigno has affected over 1,500 arrests and has conducted well over 10,000 motor vehicle stops. He now leads one of the fastest-growing LEO education companies in the country.

Deputy Sean Barnette is a swat team medic detailed to one of our nation’s largest cities. Barnette completed two combat tours with the Army and Air Force flying over 75 support missions for special forces as a combat medic. He has personally treated hundreds of gunshot victims and victims of extreme trauma. Barnette is a paramedic instructor with over 20 years of experience in emergency medicine. He is also a firefighter and continues to serve as a paramedic and continue to treat victims of traumatic injury.
