From stealing change from a vehicle to money laundering, money plays a significant role in the commission of criminal activity. Given his unique training and experience, instructor Wayne Comegno has developed a training course in financial investigations for law enforcement officers. This course combines traditional law enforcement, forensic accounting, and financial investigative tools and techniques that he has successfully utilized throughout his career. “Seize the Cash” is designed to provide police officers an introduction to and working knowledge of basic financial investigations. This course will cover an introduction to financial crimes and investigations, identifying your target, legal and other rule considerations, sources of information, investigative tools and techniques and financial investigation demonstrations. Moreover, Comegno will provide simple tools and techniques available to plan, execute, and communicate a successful financial investigation will be provided and demonstrated through practical and relevant scenarios.
